Gray Copper

Lycaena dione est une espèce d'insectes lépidoptères (papillons) de la famille des Lycaenidae et de la sous-famille des Lycaeninae. Dénomination Lycaena dione a été nommé par Samuel Hubbard Scudder en 1868. Synonymes : Chrysophanus dione Scudder, 1868 ; Gaeides dione ; Dyar, 1903.

Lycaena dione, the grey copper or great copper, is a butterfly of the family Lycaenidae. The species was first described by Samuel Hubbard Scudder in 1868. It is found from the southern Prairie provinces of Canada and western Ontario south to Texas and east to Illinois and Missouri.
