Turkish Meadow Brown

Le Myrtil de Lesbos (Maniola megala) est une espèce d'insectes lépidoptères (papillons) appartenant à la famille des Nymphalidae à la sous-famille des Satyrinae et au genre Maniola. Dénomination Le nom de Maniola megala a été donné par Oberthür en 1909. Noms vernaculaires Le Myrtil de Lesbos se nomme en grec Μανίολα της Λέσβου et en turc Büyük Esmer.

Maniola telmessia, the Turkish meadow brown, is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It is found on several Greek islands in the Aegean Sea and from there through Asia Minor to south-western Iran. It is described as a common species in Israel.
