Koepcke's Screech-owl

Le Petit-duc de Koepcke (Megascops koepckeae) ou Petit-duc montagnard, est une espèce d'oiseaux Strigiformesde la famille des Strigidae. Son nom est dédié à Maria Koepcke (1924-1971). Description Cet oiseau mesure 24 cm.

Koepcke's screech owl (Megascops koepckeae) is a species of owl in the family Strigidae. It is endemic to Peru. Taxonomy and systematics Koepcke's screech owl was originally described as a subspecies of tropical screech owl (then Otus choliba, now Megascops choliba), and they are now considered sister species.

La lechuza de Koepcke o autillo de Koepcke (Megascops koepckeae)​​ es una especie de ave estrigiforme de la familia Strigidae. Vive en bosques montanos húmedos de Perú. ​ Su nombre conmemora a María Koepcke una ornitóloga alemana nacionalizada peruana.
