Sweet Potato Moth

Megastes grandalis est une espèce de lépidoptères de la famille des Crambidae et de la sous-famille des Spilomelinae, originaire d'Amérique du Sud. C'est un insecte ravageur de la patate douce (Ipomoea batatas), tout particulièrement dans l'île de la Trinité (Trinité-et-Tobago). Description La chenille mesure environ 3 cm de long lorsqu'elle est complètement développée.

Helcystogramma convolvuli, the sweet potato moth, sweetpotato webworm moth, sweetpotato leaf roller or black leaf folder, is a moth of the family Gelechiidae. It is mainly found in Asia and Africa, but there are also records from Oceania, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Florida in the United States. The species is also found on the Canary Islands and Madeira.
