Gomphocerinae, sometimes called "slant-faced grasshoppers", are a subfamily of grasshoppers found in every continent except Antarctica and Australia. There are at least 192 genera in this subfamily, further dividing into at least 1,274 species. Gomphocerinae species are most often found in swamp, desert, tundra and tropical rainforest environments.
