The black-headed blenny (Microlipophrys nigriceps) is a species of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the family Blenniidae, the combtooth blennies. This species is endemic to the Mediterranean sea. Taxonomy The black-headed blenny was first formally described as Blennius nigriceps by the Italian physician and ichthyologist Decio Vinciguerra with its type locality given as Porto Milna, Brazza Island, Dalmatia.
