Rufous-tailed Rock Thrush

Le Monticole de roche (parfois encore appelé Monticole merle-de-roche) (Monticola saxatilis) est une espèce de passereaux traditionnellement appelé Merle de roche. D'après Alan P. Peterson et le Congrès ornithologique international, c'est une espèce monotypique.

The common rock thrush (Monticola saxatilis), also known as the rufous-tailed rock thrush or simply rock thrush, is a species of chat that breeds in southern Europe across Central Asia to northern China. This species is strongly migratory, all populations wintering in Africa south of the Sahara. It is an uncommon visitor to northern Europe.

El roquero rojo (Monticola saxatilis) es un túrdido que vive en las montañas del Viejo Mundo. El macho es muy vistoso, sobre todo en verano:cabeza y hombros de color gris azulado, vientre y cola rojos. Tanto las hembras como los ejemplares jóvenes son mucho más apagados.
