Morpho amphitrion

Morpho amphitrion est une espèce d'insectes lépidoptères (papillons) qui appartient à la famille des nymphalidés, sous-famille des Morphinae, à la tribu des Morphini et au genre Morpho. Dénomination Morpho amphitrion a été décrit par Otto Staudinger en 1887. Nom vernaculaire Morpho amphitrion se nomme Amphitrion Morpho en anglais.

Morpho amphitryon is a Neotropical butterfly. Description Morpho amphitryon is a very large butterfly with a wingspan of 150–160 mm. The top of the wings is a blue grey metallic colour with a wide grey border embellished by a submarginal row of white spots.
