Barbary Skipper

L’Hespérie de Barbarie (Muschampia mohammed) est une espèce d'insectes lépidoptères (papillons) qui appartient à la famille des Hesperiidae, à la sous-famille des Pyrginae et au genre Muschampia. Taxonomie Muschampia mohammed a été décrit par Charles Oberthür en 1887 sous le nom initial de Syrichthus mohammed. Synonyme : Hesperia Caïd Le Cerf, 1923.

Muschampia mohammed, the Barbary skipper, is a butterfly of the family Hesperiidae. It is endemic to Morocco and Algeria. It is found in dry and flower-rich areas between 1,500 and 2,000 meters.
