Broomtail Grouper

Mycteroperca est un genre de poissons de la famille des Serranidae dont les plus connus sont les « mérous ».

The broomtail grouper or mangrove grouper (Mycteroperca xenarcha) is a species of ray-finned fish from the family Serranidae which is found in the eastern Pacific along the western coast of the Americas from California to Peru. Description Mycteroperca xenarcha has an elongated, robust and compressed body which has its depth at the origin of the dorsal fin is not any greater than the depth at the origin of the anal fin. The snout is much longer than the eye with the lower jaw projecting beyond the upper and with canine-like teeth at front of the jaws.

Cabrillas​ (también conocido como epostracismo,​ hacer patito, hacer la rana, hacer sapito o la chata) es un pasatiempo practicado al menos desde tiempos de la Antigua Grecia, pues Homero escribió sobre él, y cuyo objetivo es lanzar un guijarro contra la superficie del agua de forma que rebote una o más veces. Hay competiciones en las que gana el que más rebotes consigue antes de que el canto se sumerja. Según el Libro Guinness de los récords el récord mundial es de 88 rebotes, conseguido por el estadounidense Kurt Steiner en 2013.
