Lady Godiva

Nemesignis banyulensis, unique représentant du genre Nemesignis, est une espèce de mollusques nudibranches de la famille des Myrrhinidae (anciennement des Facelinidae), que l'on trouve en Méditerranée. Elle est parfois appelée Godiva orange. Systématique L'espèce Nemesignis banyulensis a été décrite en 1960 par Adolf Portmann (1897-1982) et Esther Sandmeier (d) sous le protonyme Dondice banyulensis.

Lady Godiva (; died between 1066 and 1086), in Old English Godgifu, was a late Anglo-Saxon noblewoman who is relatively well documented as the wife of Leofric, Earl of Mercia, and a patron of various churches and monasteries. Dondice banyulensis es un molusco gasterópodo perteneciente a la familia Facelinidae. Es una especie endémica del mediterráneo, que habita en fondos rocosos a profundidades que oscilan entre los 10 y los 30 metros de profundidad. Su alimentación es a base de hidropólipos y briozoos.
