Cherry-throated Tanager

Le Tangara rougegorge (Nemosia rourei) est une espèce de passereau appartenant à la famille des Thraupidae. Répartition et habitat Il est endémique du Brésil. Il vit dans la canopée des forêts humides de montagne entre 850 et 1 250 m d'altitude.

The cherry-throated tanager (Nemosia rourei) is a critically endangered bird native to the Atlantic Forest in Brazil. Since its description in 1870, based on a shot specimen, there had been no confirmed sightings for more than 100 years, and by the end of the 20th century, it was thought that the species was already extinct. The cherry-throated tanager was rediscovered in 1998 on a private fazenda in the state of Espírito Santo, and soon after on two other sites in the same state, though it disappeared from the fazenda after 2006.

La tangara golirroja​ o frutero de garganta cereza​ (Nemosia rourei) es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Thraupidae, una de las dos pertenecientes al género Nemosia. Es endémica del estado de Espírito Santo, en Brasil, y se encuentra críticamente amenazada de extinción por pérdida de hábitat. Distribución y hábitat Actualmente es registrada en apenas tres municipalidades del centro sur del estado de Espírito Santo, en el sureste de Brasil: Conceição do Castelo, Vargem Alta y Santa Teresa.
