Finless Flounder

Neoachiropsetta milfordi est une espèce de flets de la famille des Achiropsettidae, le seul représentant du genre Neoachiropsetta (monotypique). On le trouve dans les eaux antarctiques, dans des profondeurs variant entre 100 et 1 000 m. Il a une taille comprise entre 30 et 60 cm de longueur.

Achiropsetta tricholepis, the Finless flounder or Prickly flounder, is a species of southern flounder with a southern circumpolar distribution. It lives in the Southwest Atlantic Ocean off Patagonia, the Falkland Islands and the Burdwood Bank, and also off the Ob Bank, Kerguelen Islands, Crozet Islands, and the Campbell Plateau. It is usually caught in depths of 21 to 1,186 metres (69 to 3,891 ft).

Los Achiropsettidae son una familia de peces marinos incluida en el orden Pleuronectiformes, distribuidos por aguas del océano Antártico y subantárticas, donde son bentónicos. ​ Su nombre procede del griego: acheir -eiros (sin manos) + psetta (rodaballo). ​ Tienen el cuerpo de tamaño pequeño a mediano fuertemente comprimido, con los ojos en el lado izquierdo de la cabeza.
