Common Sailer

Neptis hylas est une espèce de lépidoptères (papillons) de la famille des Nymphalidae et de la sous-famille des Limenitidinae. On la trouve en Asie du Sud et du Sud-Est. Ce papillon a un vol plané caractéristique avec des petits battements d'ailes, ses ailes restant presque à l'horizontale en vol.

Neptis hylas, the common sailor, is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in the Indian subcontinent and southeast Asia. It has a characteristic stiff gliding flight achieved by short and shallow wingbeats just above the horizontal. It is also present in Italy in a humid limited zone near Gorizia and Slovenia.
