The sharpnose shiner (Notropis oxyrhynchus) is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish in the family Leuciscidae, the shiners, daces and minnows. It is endemic to Texas in the United States, where it is limited to the upper Brazos River basin. In 2013 it became a candidate for federal listing as an endangered species of the United States.
