Nymphidium acherois

Nymphidium acherois est une espèce d'insectes lépidoptères (papillons) appartenant à la famille des Riodinidae, à la sous-famille des Riodininae et au genre Nymphidium. Taxonomie Nymphidium acherois a été décrit par Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Dechauffour de Boisduval en 1836 sous le nom de Desmozona acherois. Sous-espèces Nymphidium acherois acherois, présent en Guyane Nymphidium acherois erymanthus (Ménétriés, 1855);présent au Brésil.

Nymphidium is a genus in the butterfly family Riodinidae present only in the Neotropical realm. Some Nymphidium are obviously secondarily transformed by mimicry, otherwise the almost exclusive colours are brown and white either of which being now and then preponderant. The wings have a normal shape without indentations, tail appendages, lobing or coiling.
