Beisa Oryx

L'oryx beïsa (Oryx beisa), ou oryx d'Afrique de l'Est est un animal que l'on retrouve principalement dans les steppes et semi-déserts de la Corne de l'Afrique, ainsi que partiellement en Tanzanie. Deux sous-espèces existent, l'oryx beïsa (Oryx beisa beisa) et l'oryx à oreilles frangées (Oryx beisa callotis). Dans le passé, un certain taxinomiste les a considéré comme une sous-espèce de l'Oryx gazella, mais les classifications modernes en font généralement une espèce à part entière.

The East African oryx (Oryx beisa), also known as the beisa, is a species of medium-sized antelope from East Africa. It has two subspecies: the common beisa oryx (Oryx beisa beisa) found in steppe and semidesert throughout the Horn of Africa Somalia and north of the Tana River, and the fringe-eared oryx (Oryx beisa callotis) south of the Tana River in southern Kenya Somalia and parts of Tanzania. The species is listed as Endangered by the IUCN.

El órix beisa (Oryx beisa) es una especie de mamífero artiodáctilo de la familia Bovidae. Este antílope africano es la especie tipo del género Oryx. Su área de distribución abarca Kenia y el cuerno de África.
