Mimetic Swallowtail

Papilio cynorta, the mimetic swallowtail or common white banded papilio, is a butterfly of the family Papilionidae. It is found in Africa, including Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, southern Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, the Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. Adult females mimic Bematistes epaea, the common bematistes butterfly.

Papilio cynorta est une espèce de lépidoptères (papillons) de la famille des Papilionidae. Cette espèce est présente dans la région afrotropicale, dans le golfe de Guinée et en Afrique centrale. Description L'envergure est comprise entre 7 et 9 cm.
