Carmelita

Les Perciliidae sont une famille monotypique de poissons perciformes. Elle ne contient que le genre Percilia. Cette famille n'est pas reconnue par ITIS qui place le genre Percilia sous Perciformes → Percoidei → famille des Percichthyidae.

Percilia gillissi, known as carmelita in Spanish, is a species of perch-like ray-finned fish in the family Perciliidae found only in central and southern Chile. In Chile it is distributed from the Aconcagua Valley at a latitude of 32°S to the Los Lagos Region at 41°S where it is found in the cool temperatures, high oxygen levels, and fast, turbulent, swift flows of the rithron zone where it feeds on benthic invertebrates. They spawn in the southern spring and summer, starting in October with many juveniles being recorded in mid summer.

La carmelita común (Percilia gillissi), también denominada comúnmente coloradita, truchecita o trucha, es una especie de peces Centrarchiformes de agua dulce del género Percilia. Habita en biotopos templados o templado-fríos del sudoeste de América del Sur. Taxonomía Descripción original Percilia gillissi fue descrita originalmente en el año 1855 por el médico y zoólogo francés Charles Frédéric Girard al mismo tiempo que describía el género Percilia, del cual es su especie tipo, por monotipia.
