Leopard Coral Grouper

La loche saumonée ou saumonée léopard, Plectropomus leopardus, est une espèce de poissons de la famille des Serranidae.

The leopard coral grouper (Plectropomus leopardus), also known as the common coral trout, leopard coral trout, blue-dotted coral grouper or spotted coral grouper, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a grouper from the family Epinephelidae. It is found in the Western Pacific Ocean. Coral trout are the favourite target fish for all sectors of the fishery because they are a good food fish and command high market prices locally and overseas.

Plectropomus laevis, conocido comúnmente como mero ensillado, pertenece a la clase de los peces con aletas (Actinopterygii), un mero de la subfamilia Epinephelinae que forma parte de la familia Serranidae, que también incluye las anthias y las lubinas. Se encuentra en la región del Indo-Pacífico. Descripción Plectropomus laevis tiene un cuerpo alargado y robusto, con una longitud estándar de entre casi 3 a 4 veces la profundidad del cuerpo.
