Yellowface Angelfish

Le Poisson-ange à front jaune ou Poisson-ange à tête bleue (Pomacanthus xanthometopon) est un poisson appartenant à la famille des Pomacanthidae. Il vit dans l'océan Indien est et dans l'océan Pacifique ouest, dans les récifs coralliens entre 5 et 50 m de profondeur. C'est un poisson solitaire et territorial qui peut mesurer jusqu'à 38 cm de long.

Pomacanthus xanthometopon is a marine ray-finned fish, a marine angelfish belonging to the family Pomacanthidae found in shallow parts of the Indo-Pacific. It is commonly known as the blueface angelfish or the yellowface angelfish because of its striking facial colouration. Taxonomy Pomacanthus xanthometopon was first formally described in 1853 as Holocanthus xanthometopon by the Dutch ichthyologist and herpetologist Pieter Bleeker (1819–1878) with the type locality given as Telok betong, Sumatra in Indonesia.

El Pomacanthus xanthometopon es una especie de pez marino perciforme pomacántido. Sus nombres más comunes en inglés son Bluefaced angelfish, o pez ángel cara azul, y Yellowmask angelfish, o pez ángel de máscara amarilla. ​ Es una especie común en su rango de distribución geográfica y con poblaciones estables.
