Potamotrygon est un genre de raies d'eau douce de la famille des Potamotrygonidae originaire d'Amérique du Sud.

Potamotrygon is a genus of freshwater stingrays in the family Potamotrygonidae native to the rivers of South America, and sometimes seen in the aquarium trade. It inhabits rivers of tropical and subtropical climates, especially those of the Amazon basin and is virtually present in all South American countries, except for Chile. Like other stingrays, the fishes of this genus have venomous barbs at the base of their tails, and their stings are dangerous to humans.

Potamotrygon humerosa es una especie del género de peces de agua dulce Potamotrygon, cuyas especies son denominadas comúnmente rayas de río. Habita en ambientes acuáticos en el norte de Sudamérica. ​ Taxonomía Esta especie fue descrita originalmente en el año 1913 por el zoólogo estadounidense Samuel Walton Garman, con el nombre científico de Potamotrygon humerosus.
