Gilbert's Potoroo

Le Potoroo de Gilbert (Potorous gilbertii) est une espèce de marsupiaux australiens très menacée. On pense qu'il en reste une quarantaine en vie. Quatre d'entre eux ont été lâchés sur l'île Pelée (en) pour y être à l'abri des prédateurs.

Gilbert's potoroo or ngilkat (Potorous gilbertii) is Australia's most endangered marsupial, the rarest marsupial in the world, and one of the world's rarest critically endangered mammals, found in south-western Western Australia. It is a small nocturnal macropod that lives in small groups. It was thought to be extinct for much of the 20th century, having not been spotted for around a century, until its rediscovery in 1994.

El potoro de Gilbert (Potorous gilbertii), a veces denominado canguro rata de Gilbert, es un marsupial de Australia. Se caracteriza por su cara puntiaguda y por el tamaño similar al de un conejo. ​ Vive en una pequeña área costera de sudoeste de la Australia Occidental.
