Prionotus est un genre de poissons perciformess de la famille des Triglidae. La plupart des espèces de ce genre sont appelées grondins en français.
Prionotus is a genus of marine ray-finned fishes belonging to the family Triglidae, one of two genera belonging to the subfamily Prionotinae, the searobins. These fishes are found in the Western Atlantic Ocean and eastern Pacific Ocean, in the waters off the Americas. Taxonomy Prionotus was first described as a genus in 1801 by the French naturalist Bernard Germain de Lacépède, who described it as a monotypic genus with its type species being Trigla evolans, described by Linnaeus in 1766.
El gallo y la gallina (Gallus gallus domesticus) son la subespecie doméstica de la especie Gallus gallus, una especie de ave galliforme de la familia Phasianidae procedente del sudeste asiático. Los nombres comunes son: gallo, para el macho; gallina, para la hembra; pollo, para los subadultos y pollito, para las crías recién nacidas. Es el ave más numerosa del planeta, pues se calcula que el número de ejemplares supera los dieciséis mil millones.
