Boullet's Firetip

Pyrrhopyge boulleti est une espèce de lépidoptères (papillons) de la famille des Hesperiidae, de la sous-famille des Pyrginae, de la tribu des Pyrrhopygini et du genre Pyrrhopyge. Dénomination Pyrrhopyge boulleti a été nommé par Ferdinand Le Cerf en 1922. Nom vernaculaire Pyrrhopyge boulleti se nomme Boullet's Firetip en anglais.

Pyrrhopyge is a Neotropical genus of firetips in the family Hesperiidae. This genus comprises very numerous, partly extremely similar species which are difficult to separate and perhaps neither are separable as distinct species. Nearly all are large, strong animals with black body and wings, often with a bronze-green or deep blue lustre, often spotted red on the head and abdomen.
