Relicanthus daphneae

Relicanthus daphneae est un grand animal classé parmi les anémones de mer et qui vit en solitaire à des profondeurs de 2 400 à 2 650 m sur la dorsale du Pacifique Est à proximité des sources hydrothermales. Relicanthus daphneae is a cnidarian which occurs in the depths of the East Pacific Rise and was described in 2006. It is the only known member of the suborder Helenmonae within the order Actiniaria. Taxonomy Relicanthus daphneae was originally described as a member of the genus Boloceroides, but the name (and synonym) Boloceroides daphneae is no longer accepted after it was determined that this species belongs in the genus Relicanthus.

Relicanthus daphneae es una especie de cnidario de la subclase Hexacorallia. Vive en las proximidades de la dorsal del Pacífico Oriental entre 2400 y 2650 metros de profundidad. Fue descrita en 2006 dentro del orden Actinaria, pero en 2014 fue clasificado en un orden indeterminado.
