Cherry Fruit Fly

Rhagoletis est un genre d'insectes diptères brachycères de la famille des Téphritidés.

Rhagoletis cingulata, the eastern cherry fruit fly, is a species of tephritid or fruit flies in the family Tephritidae. It is found over the entire middle and eastern region of the United States from Michigan to New Hampshire, southward to Florida and also in south-eastern and south-central Canada.

Rhagoletis cingulata​ ​ es una especie de insecto del género Rhagoletis de la familia Tephritidae, orden Diptera. Friedrich Hermann Loew la describió en el año 1862. Es originaria de Estados Unidos, también se encuentra en Europa.
