Rhagoletis meigenii, common name barberry fly or yellow berberis fruit fly, is a species of tephritid or fruit flies in the genus Rhagoletis of the family Tephritidae. Distribution This species is present in most of Europe (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Ukraine, and United Kingdom), in the Near East and in Central Asia. It has been introduced in the Nearctic realm, in Canada (Nova Scotia) and in USA (Maine, New Hampshire).
Rhagoletis meigenii es una especie de insecto del género Rhagoletis de la familia Tephritidae del orden Diptera. Friedrich Hermann Loew la describió científicamente por primera vez en el año 1844.
