Wedgetail Triggerfish

Le baliste écharpe, également appelé baliste picasso à bandeau noir, porte le nom scientifique de Rhinecanthus rectangulus. Il est également célèbre en raison de son nom hawaïen « Humuhumunukunukuapua'a » et du fait qu'il est un des emblèmes de l'État de Hawaii. Autres dénominations vernaculaires francophones Île Maurice : Picasso noir (français), bourse corail (français et créole mauricien), bourse mayar (français et créole mauricien).

The reef triggerfish (Rhinecanthus rectangulus), also known as the rectangular triggerfish, wedgetail triggerfish or by its Hawaiian name humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa (pronounced [ˈhumuˈhumuˈnukuˈnukuˈwaːpuˈwɐʔə], meaning 'triggerfish with a snout like a pig', also spelled humuhumunukunukuapua'a or just humuhumu for short), is one of several species of triggerfish. It is found in coral reefs in the entirety of the Western Pacific Ocean from North to South and Eastern Central Pacific. It is also found in the Indian Ocean from East to West and the Southeast Atlantic Ocean.

Rhinecanthus rectangulus es una especie de peces de la familia Balistidae en el orden de los Tetraodontiformes. En Hawai'i, se llama humuhumunukunukuapua'a. Morfología Pueden llegar alcanzar los 30 cm de longitud total.
