Sabethes (Sabethes) tarsopus is a species of mosquito in the family Culicidae, subfamily Culicinae, and is part of the Neotropical genus Sabethes. It was first described by Dyar and Knab in 1908. Taxonomy and identification Sabethes tarsopus belongs to the subgenus Sabethes within the genus Sabethes.

Sabethes es un género de insectos, de la familia Culicidae, principalmente arbóreos, que se reproducen en las cavidades de las plantas. ​ Se encuientran en América Central y América del Sur. ​ La especie tipo es Sabethes locuples, descrita por Jean-Baptiste Robineau-Desvoidy en 1827.
