The foothill schiffornis, or foothill mourner, (Schiffornis aenea) is a Neotropical species of bird in the family Tityridae, the tityras, becards, and allies. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Es nativo de regiones andinas del noroeste de América del Sur. Distribución y hábitat Se distribuye por la ladera oriental de los Andes en Ecuador y adyacente norte de Perú (Cajamarca y Piura),​ recientemente se ha confirmado su presencia en el extremo sur de Colombia (Putumayo).
