Plantain moth

Scopula rubraria, also called a plantain moth, is a species of moth of the family Geometridae. It is native to Australia, New Caledonia and New Zealand. Taxonomy This species was first described by Edward Doubleday in 1843 and originally named Ptychopoda rubraria.

Scopula rubraria est une espèce de lépidoptères (papillons) de la famille des Geometridae vivant sur presque tout le territoire australien. L'imago a une envergure de 20 mm environ. La chenille se nourrit de plantain lancéolé, Plantago lanceolata.
