Greater Hedgehog Tenrec

Le Grand hérisson tenrec (Setifer setosus), ou Sokina, est un petit mammifère terrestre qui appartient à l'ordre des Afrosoricidés. C'est la seule espèce du genre Setifer. Il est endémique de Madagascar où, sur les Hauts-Plateaux Imerina, leur consommation est « fady », c'est-à-dire tabou.

The greater hedgehog tenrec (Setifer setosus), also known as the large Madagascar hedgehog or sokina, is a species of mammal in the family Tenrecidae. It is endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical forests, shrubland and grassland, savanna, rural gardens, and urban areas.

El Tenrec erizo grande (Setifer setosus) es una especie de mamífero de la familia Tenrecidae. Es la única especie del género Setifer. ​ Es endémico en la isla de Madagascar.
