Sphinx chersis, the great ash sphinx or northern ash sphinx, is a moth that belongs to the family Sphingidae. Appearance This insect has a large wing span (90 to 130 mm). The upperside of the forewing is soft dark gray to blue gray with a series of black dashes, one of which reaches the wing tip.

Description L'imago de Sphinx chersis est un grand papillon dont l'envergure varie de 90 à 130 mm.
