The burnished-buff tanager (Stilpnia cayana), also known as the rufous-crowned tanager, is a common South American species of bird in the family Thraupidae. Distribution and habitat It is found in the northern Guianas, most of Venezuela, and east-central Colombia; also near the Amazon River outlet in Brazil, as well as most of the east of that country, Paraguay, and northeast Argentina. It also occurs very locally in Bolivia and Peru.

La tangara isabel​ (Stilpnia cayana), también denominada tángara monjita (en Venezuela), tangará de pecho negro (en Argentina y Paraguay), saíra pecho negro (en Argentina), tangará o tángara triguera (en Colombia) o tangara de anteado bruñido (en Perú),​ es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Thraupidae, perteneciente al género Stilpnia, anteriormente situada en Tangara. ​ Algunos autores sostienen que el grupo de subespecies S. cayana flava se trata de una especie separada.
