Strategus aloeus, the ox beetle, is a species of rhinoceros beetle native to the Americas. Description The "major" males of this species have three large horns on their thoraces, resembling Triceratops. The "minor" males have horns, as well, but the two back ones are small and the frontal horn is much shorter than the horn in major males.

Se llama escarabajos corneta europeo a diversos coleópteros provistos de uno o más cuernos en la cabeza, en el protórax o en ambos. La mayoría son miembros de la subfamilia Dynastinae de la familia Scarabaeidae, pero algunos pertenecen a la familia Geotrupidae. Dichos cuernos están, en general, mucho más desarrollados en los machos, en sus luchas para conseguir pareja.
