Lizardfish

Synodus evermanni, l’Anoli tacheté, est une espèce de poissons de la famille des Synodontidae. Systématique L'espèce Synodus evermanni a été décrite pour la première fois en 1890 par David Starr Jordan (1851-1931) et Charles Harvey Bollman (en) (1838-1889). The Synodontidae or lizardfishes are benthic (bottom-dwelling) marine and estuarine bony fishes that belong to the aulopiform fish order, a diverse group of marine ray-finned fish consisting of some 15 extant and several prehistoric families. This family alone constitutes the suborder Synodontoidei. They are found in tropical and subtropical marine waters throughout the world.
