Downland Horsefly

Tabanus glaucopis est une espèce d'insectes diptères brachcères de la famille des Tabanidae (taons). Répartition Cette espèce, présente de l'Asie non tropicale à l'Europe mais absente d'Afrique du Nord Occidentale, est plus fréquente vers le Sud aux altitudes moyennes ou basses. Elle a cependant été observée jusqu'à 2 000 m dans les Pyrénées.

Distribution and habitat This species is present in most of Europe, in the eastern Palearctic realm (Russia, Mongolia, and China) and in the Near East (Turkey and Iran). These horseflies mainly live in wetlands, lakes and streams and edge of forests.
