Temnothorax pilagens est une espèce de fourmis de la sous-famille des Myrmicinae. Cette fourmi est esclavagiste, son nom pilagens vient du latin pilare « pillarde ». Elle se rencontre en zone néarctique, au nord-est des États-Unis et au sud-est du Canada, toujours à proximité de ses hôtes Temnothorax longispinosus et Temnothorax ambiguus.
Temnothorax longispinosus is a species of Temnothorax commonly found in the eastern United States and eastern Canada as well as in British Columbia. This genus is often adorned with small protrusions from the body towards the gaster and petiole. This species tends to be between 2 and 2.
