Indian Yellow-nosed Albatross

L'Albatros à nez jaune de l'océan Indien (Thalassarche carteri), également appelé Albatros de Carter ou Albatros de l'océan Indien, est une espèce d'oiseaux de mer de la famille des Diomedeidae. Ce petit albatros était autrefois considéré comme conspécifique avec l'albatros à nez jaune de l'océan Atlantique et connu sous le nom d'albatros à nez jaune. Certaines autorités considèrent toujours ces taxons comme conspécifiques.

The Indian yellow-nosed albatross (Thalassarche carteri) is a member of the albatross family, and is the smallest of the mollymawks. In 2004, BirdLife International split this species from the Atlantic yellow-nosed albatross; however Clements has not split it yet, and the SACC has not either, but recognises the need for a proposal. Taxonomy Mollymawks are a type of albatross that belong to the family Diomedeidae of the order Procellariiformes, along with shearwaters, fulmars, storm petrels, and diving petrels.

El albatros pico amarillo del Índico (Thalassarche carteri) es una especie de ave marina procelariforme del género Thalassarche,​ de la familia Diomedeidae. ​ Taxonomía Este taxón fue descrito originalmente en el año 1903 por el zoólogo británico Lionel Walter Rothschild, 2. º barón Rothschild.
