It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Quebec, Tennessee and Wisconsin. The wingspan is 10–12 mm.
