Animals are multicellular, eukaryotic organisms belonging to the biological kingdom Animalia (). Animals consume organic material, breathe oxygen, have myocytes, can reproduce sexually, and grow from a hollow sphere of cells, the blastula, during embryonic development. With few exceptions, animals are able to move.
