It is found in southern Africa, specifically in south-eastern Angola, northern Namibia, western Zambia, northern and eastern Botswana, Zimbabwe, north-eastern South Africa, and western Mozambique. Trachylepis damarana is a very common terrestrial skink inhabiting open, rocky habitats in savanna.
