Lake Huron Locust

Edmund Murton Walker (5 octobre 1877 au 14 février 1969) est un entomologiste canadien reconnu pour la découverte de la famille des Grylloblattidae et du genre Grylloblata chez les Orthoptères et pour son travail remarquable sur l'ordre des Odonates. Sa famille est d'origine britannique, il est né à Windsor en Ontario, au Canada, fils ainé de Sir Byron Edmond Walker. En 1943, il se maria avec Norma Ford, l'une de ses anciennes étudiantes.

Trimerotropis huroniana, known generally as the lake Huron locust or great lakes grasshopper, is a species of band-winged grasshopper in the family Acrididae. It is found in Wisconsin and Michigan in the United States, and Ontario in Canada. Distribution This species is endemic to the Great Lakes area, living along the shores of Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, and Lake Superior in open dune habitats.

Trimerotropis huroniana​ es una especie de saltamontes perteneciente a la familia Acrididae. Se encuentra en Norteamérica.
