Spider

Chez l'homme, une morsure d'araignée (appelée parfois abusivement piqûre d'araignée) entraînant une blessure susceptible d'envenimation, selon l'espèce en cause, est un accident rare. Peu d'espèces d'araignées mordent l'homme et leur venin est rarement dangereux. Ainsi, environ 98 % des morsures infligées par ces espèces sont inoffensives et sans conséquence, car pas forcément chargées de venin (morsure « sèche », sans envenimation).

Spiders (order Araneae) are air-breathing arthropods that have eight limbs, chelicerae with fangs generally able to inject venom, and spinnerets that extrude silk. They are the largest order of arachnids and rank seventh in total species diversity among all orders of organisms. Spiders are found worldwide on every continent except Antarctica, and have become established in nearly every land habitat.
