Canasi Trope

Tropidophis celiae, commonly known as the Canasi dwarf boa or the Canasi trope, is an endangered species of dwarf boa, a snake in the family Tropidophiidae. The species is endemic to Cuba. Etymology The specific name, celiae, is in honor of Celia Puerta de Estrada, the wife of Puerto Rican herpetologist Alberto R.

Tropidophis, del griego clásico τροπίς (tropís), "cresta", y ὄφις (óphis), "serpiente" es un género de serpientes que pertenecen a la familia Tropidophiidae. Se distribuyen por Sudamérica y las Antillas. Se trata de serpientes de entre 30 y 60 centímetros, según la especie, terrestres, que viven en la selva.
