Les Scandentiens (Scandentia) sont un ordre de petits mammifères placentaires au mode de vie arboricole. Ils possèdent une longue queue en général touffue. Ils présentent des caractères qui ont longtemps dérouté les zoologistes dont certains les rapprochent des insectivores et d'autres des primates.
The Sumatran treeshrew (Tupaia ferruginea) is a treeshrew species within the Tupaiidae family. It was previously listed as a subspecies of Tupaia glis for one hundred years, but was raised up to species status in 2013. It is found on the islands of Sumatra and Tanahbala in Indonesia.
La tupaya de Sumatra (Tupaia ferruginea) es una especie de escandentio de la familia Tupaiidae. Fue considerada una subespecie de Tupaia glis hasta 2013. Es la especie tipo del género Tupaia.
