Auger Shell

Turritella communis ou Turritellinella tricarinata, la Turritelle commune, est une espèce de mollusques gastéropodes marins de la famille des Turritellidae. Distribution et habitat Cette espèce est présente dans l'océan Atlantique oriental depuis les îles Lofoten jusqu'au sud de la mer Méditerranée et en Afrique du Nord. Elle a aussi été observée en 2013 en mer Noire, ou, jusqu'alors, elle était considérée comme absente.

Turritella communis, common name the "common tower shell" is a species of medium-sized sea snails with an operculum, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Turritellidae. Distribution and habitat This species occurs in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean from the Lofoten Isles south to the Mediterranean Sea and North Africa. It is rare or absent from the eastern English Channel and the southern North Sea.
