Xanthotype sospeta, the crocus geometer, is a species of moth in the family Geometridae. It was first described by Dru Drury in 1773 from Jamaica. It is also found in North America, where it has been recorded from Nova Scotia to southern British Columbia, south to Colorado and Georgia.

Xanthotype es un género de lepidópteros geométridos de la subfamilia Ennominae. ​ Mide 30-50 mm. El hábitat es bosques caducos y mixtos.
