Long-whiskered Owlet

The long-whiskered owlet (Xenoglaux loweryi) is a vulnerable species of owl in subfamily Surniinae of the "typical owls", family Strigidae. It is endemic to a small area in Amazonas and San Martín departments of northern Peru. El mochuelo peludo​ (Xenoglaux loweryi) es una especie de búho de la familia Strigidae, endémica de Perú. Es el único miembro del género monotípico Xenoglaux. ​ Descripción El mochuelo peludo tiene una longitud total de 13-14 cm y un peso de aproximadamente 48 g.
